How can we improve Brain Health in aging adults?
This topic seeks to explore the relationship between brain health and aging, and address them along the design continuum- from information to product to place, to policy, while being anchored on the environments we are living in, and the human minds & behaviors that shape them. It is practice-based and committed to effecting feasible, actionable, and meaningful transformations within the lives of aging adults.
Throughout each semester, students engage with real-world challenges faced by aging adults, drawing inspiration from both primary and secondary research to provoke thoughtful considerations for addressing mental health issues among senior residents. Within this dynamic context, each student team is tasked with proposing interventions and innovations that are not only actionable but also bridge diverse disciplines, actively contributing to the comprehensive spectrum of design considerations.
